The Gibbs School Washington DC, (formerly the Washington Business School) is located near
the heart of the Silicon Valley of the East -- Tysons Corner, Virginia -- a short distance
from the Washington, DC metro area.

Programs
Executive Office Professional Diploma Program
A comprehensive program offering a background designed to meet the needs of today's
employer. Students are taught the business and technical skills needed in most offices,
combined with a specialization in a variety of information processing systems and
applications. As well as standard office skills, the training offered also includes
techniques of office organization, diplomacy in business relations, and professional
image.
Legal Office Assistant Program
The Legal Office Assistant Program will prepare the ambitious individual for one of the
most rewarding career tracks. In addition to possessing the knowledge and skills required
of a professional in any office, the legal office professional must also understand legal
practices, procedures and terminology.
A continuing demand exists for legal office assistants within the legal profession,
private industry, government, and politics. Research or paralegal opportunities often
develop for the capable legal office assistant.
Microcomputer Specialist Program
Students interested in computer applications and management are encouraged to enroll in
the Microcomputer Specialist Program. The widespread use of computers in today's business
world enables qualified personnel to utilize numeric data for budgeting, forecasting, and
preparing financial projections. Students are introduced to graphics for presentations and
for the electronic transmittal of information.
Visual Communications Program
It takes more than just imagination to be a quality graphic designer. Today's designers
must keep up with computer applications and software, understand current marketing
principles and trends, and develop design concepts.
The student will be introduced to the important elements of graphic design. They will
develop their conceptual and artistic talents, learn interpersonal and communication
skills, and develop their critical thinking skills. The student should have a basic
understanding of business terms and philosophies and a comprehension of contemporary
problems and issues. This program includes classes in multimedia and animation.
