History
In 1911 Katharine Gibbs opened her first school in Providence, RI. Her commitment to excellence in education won immediate recognition, and her schools grew to be strong educational centers. The Katharine Gibbs Schools have been a part of the educational life of the Northeastern United States for over 90 years, preparing graduates for rewarding professional careers. Currently, there are nine Katharine Gibbs Schools located throughout the north-east.

Mission
The mission of the Katharine Gibbs School at Philadelphia is to provide its students with the foundation for lifelong learning. Whether they choose to continue their education or enter the workforce, Gibbs graduates are prepared to succeed.

School Goals

Location
The Katharine Gibbs School, Philadelphia,  is located 20 minutes west of the center city of Philadelphia near the historic Valley Forge area in Montgomery County, PA.

Accreditation and Approvals
Ther school voluntarily undergoes periodic accrediting evaluations by teams of qualified examiners, including subject experts and specialists in occupational education and private school administration.

Accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools to award Diplomas.

Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools and the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

Eligible institution to participate under the Federal Stafford Loan Program (FSL) and Federal Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (FPLUS).

Eligible institution to participate under Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), and Federal Pell Grant.
